Here We Go!

So from here on out, you can expect an onslaught of NYC related posts.
I'm not sure how many I'll have...I keep finding pictures everywhere!
First up: I was so surprised when I logged into Chictopia.com last week and
I WAS THE FRONT PAGE!!!
SO COOL!
You can find Part 1 here and Part 2 here of the Chictopia 10 photoshoot in Bryant Park...
All the beautiful ladies of the "Chictopia 10" are there!

I heart you, chictopia.

High Sailing.

It's not quite shorts weather, but looking at Woody's blog made me
desperately want high waisted shorts.
Aren't they all to die for?!?
I hope I can wrangle the perfect pair somehow this summer...
be it thrifted, purchased or (my dream) tailor made!

Two Of Us Going Nowhere.

Another Kate and Lydia adventure!

This one involves tasty cupcakes and shivering in the cold for the sake of art.
After snagging some delicious TracyCakes cupcakes,
we decided to scout a location and have an impromptu photoshoot.
We had driven past this graffiti ridden underpass before, so we pulled over and got started.
Too bad the weather was hovering around 0 degrees, and Kate didn't have gloves!
We scurried about to get some good shots before running back to the warm car...

To Fall In Slow Motion, Despite It All.

Went to Great Lake Swimmers that night, they were phenomenal live!
His voice is so enchanting.

If you are wondering about the random phone shots, it's because Nokia WOM World was nice enough to send me a lovely Nokia N97 Mini to try out. I really loved the touch screen, and found the phone easy to use. I wish I could have kept it, it's the same size as my current phone, but much sleeker and has a giant screen. Basically, we got along very well :)

Thrifted sequined cumberbund, blazer, shoes. Old Navy skirt.
H&M striped tee. Joe Fresh dotted stockings.

Shoe Porn.

I'm not a big designer shoe person, but I may have met my match.
These are the sickest statement heels I've seen in a while.
MELTING WAX HEELS?!?! Are you kidding me? So so so good.
And the colors...oh the colors.
Rodarte, keep blowing my mind!

PS. These shoes aren't actually wax...just wax looking.

On The Shores of a Far Off Land.

My best friend and I like to have spontaneous photoshoots.
This is probably why we are best friends.

All pictures are shot by Kate and I, at Stanley Park.
P.S. I'm really jealous of Kate's shiny, new Canon Rebel!

They Put Me In A Magazine...

Liberating Style Magazine was nice enough to feature yours truly in this month's issue!
I was surprised when they contacted me, and I'm honoured to be one of their "Style Crushes" :D

You can see the magazine online here!

Oh My, Starry Eyed Surprise

So...I am in the very first photo of the Sea of Shoes NYC post.
I was shocked and surpised when I found out!
Thanks for choosing that picture Jane, if you are reading this :)

A Tease.

Soooo many NYC pictures to post, it's probably going to be a three-parter,
perhaps one for each day?
I'll leave you with a peek at what's to come...
Who wouldn't love to spend a Saturday in New York with
incredibly stylish people and male models?!?

Please Please Me.

A couple of weeks ago, CSN Stores contacted me to do a review.
I was unfamiliar with the network of sites, but after discovering I couldn't get the shoes I wanted (no delivery to Canada!), Ashley was super helpful and helped me select the David King bag which I recieved.
The order came very quickly, less than a week to be exact!
I've been using the bag quite often, more often than I thought it would.
It even came to NYC with me!!!
It is the perfect size for just the essentials, camera included.
I'd recommend the site to anyone, the people at CSN were super helpful!

An Island Breeze.

Back in January, my sister and I took a fun filled trip to Granville Island
which was her Christmas present to me.
I am finally getting around to posting these photos!
It is one of my favourite places to take a day trip.
The island is full of good eats, galleries and shops
including a umbrella store and a postcard store!
I highly recommend it if you are in the Vancouver area.

Notice how Grace is starting be as stylish as I am...
I better watch my back!

It Girl.

Miss Alexa Chung is, in my opinion, the "It" girl crush of the blogging world right now.
She's always adorable and has a style which is unique but still approachable, and realistic.
So I was more than delighted to hear that she was collaborating with Madewell, the cool younger sister of J Crew. The first showing was yesterday, and it did not disappoint!
Preppy, laid back, girly looks that could very easily fit into my wardrobe.
I hope that she continues working with them, I'd love to see what else they could come up with.

Whirlwind.

I am officially BACK from NYC!!!
It was a phenomenal trip, one I won't soon forget!
There will be a major post full of pictures and stories from the trip coming soon.
In the meantime, I am totally digging this editorial from the February issue of Teen Vogue.
Redheads always get me!
I really like how the shoot is styled in a way that seems personal, not over thought.
And who can resist bows, really?
