Honey And I.

I'm not typically one to obsess over trends. Observe and note them, yes, but usually I just watch others embrace them and wear the same things for years on end. In efforts to challenge myself, I'm finding myself drawn to current pieces these days. It's fun to mix them in with tried and true vintage pieces!

Bomber jackets and crop tops are highest on my summer 2014 picks. Crop tops for EVERY BODY. A sliver of midriff is a perfect solution to summer's heat.

What have you been wearing lately?

I've Been Drankin', Watermelon!

Nothing says summer time quite like a thirst quenching, ice cold, perfectly sliced piece of watermelon...

I felt simultaneously babely and adorable in this Lazy Oaf X Nasty Gal tank! Who could resist a print this frickin' cute? Answer: not a soul. Ended up shooting this outfit in the late evening; perhaps the next time I wear this top I'll stop to shoot earlier. I foresee that I will be wearing it all summer long!

TBT: Canada Day!

Not too far of a throwback today, just stepping backwards to Tuesday. I have mixed feelings about patriotism and the means by which this country came into existence, but I cannot resist a themed outfit. Red and white is a combination I don't wear often, so it was a fun change of pace for me. How'd you spend your Canada Day?

PS. Our band recorded a cover of Mountain Man's "Animal Tracks", you can listen here.

Thrifted denim shirt, shorts | Gifted tank, sandals
