A Kaleidoscope.

A color palette which I sort of haphazardly put together.
It was a "I really hope these clash in a good way!" kind of day.

Thrifted dress, belt, boots. Self made jersey circle scarf.
Urban Renewal trench. Forever 21 white leggings.
American Apparel knee socks.

(you can purchase one of the scarves for $6+Shipping, just email me!)

Caped Crusader.

Seems everyone but me has my perfect cape.
I'm praying the thrifting gods will send me one soon...

Happy Friday.

I know it's been slow around here, but things will get exciting soon I promise!
I'm going to see Great Lake Swimmers tonight, should be a good show.
As far as concert pictures go, I still have Regina Specktor, Gossip and
Tegan and Sara to show you, as well as whatever pictures I get tonight!
Have a great weekend :)

In Neutral.

Sometimes, we can surprise ourselves. I rarely wear a completely neutral outfit, so this was something totally different for me. I have been loving lots of neutral-based outfits so I decided to try it out for myself. I was surprised that I liked it!
Not that I'll be giving up brights anytime soon...

True Value Vintage dress. H&M scarf. Fletcher by Lyell coat.
Joe tights. American Apparel rummage sale socks. Thrifted boots.

Hell Yes.

TopShop never ceases to amaze, and this spring they have quite the collections.
So many lust worthy pieces! I think I need these...

Scarlet.

I will always, always love red hair.
I think it might have started when I watched Annie in the 3rd grade, because ever since then I wanted curly red hair and a face covered in freckles.
This was obviously not in the cards for me, so I live vicariously through flame haired vixens in the pages of magazines.

Lonely Hearts Club Band.

It's almost fall for our friends down under, and by the looks of it, Lonely Hearts took a decidely girly spin for their fall collection. Of course, I love anything frilly and sweet looking, and these pieces are no exception.

P.S. I know that the see-through skirt seems a tad bit TMI, but imagine the layering possibilities!
P.P.S. Alexa Chung is collaborating with Madewell! I cannot wait, it's a match made in preppy chic heaven.

B-Day.

What I wore for Tim's birthday earlier this month (January 4th).

Thrifted striped top, leather jacket. American Apparel sheer seamed tights.
Joe heels. Gifts from my best friend skirt and necklace.

Self Service.

I saw a peek at this editorial on Refinery29 and had to follow the link. Devon Aoki is an underrated model (at least in my books) because she always manages to simultaneously look worldly and innocent. Plus, who can resist a leopard coat and varsity jacket?

Oh, The Sweetest Thing.

This outfit epitomizes just how girly I feel 95% of the time. I got the dress as a present for my birthday and when I put it on, I was surprised at how much I liked it since the color was one I wouldn’t pick personally. It’s fun to let other people choose sometimes, I guess. Oh, and I made the lovely bat necklace I’m wearing! You’ll be able to purchase them soon at whistle. Same goes for the headband, I suppose.

American Eagle cardigan and dress. Thrifted heels, leather jacket. American Apparel seamed tights. Gifted scarf (from England). Pocket Change necklace and headband.

A New Look?

American Apparel looking high fashion?
Who would have thought.
