Eva Geraldine Fontanelli.

I'd be lying if I denied the influence that Italian fashion editor Eva Geraldine Fontanelli has had on my style. She was one of the reoccuring street style darlings who first caught my sartorial eye when perusing style blogs. Dare I say; many a street style collage featured her whimiscal and joyous outfits. I often find a sense of playfulness is missing from the "best dressed" of the fashion world, so it's refreshing to see someone who keeps a sense of humor in their personal style. This particular photoset comes from the H&M blog, showcasing that style is not limited to specific tax bracket.

Throwback Thursday: Vroom, Vroom, Vroom, Get Gasoline.

Adam and I went to a car show back when it was cold enough for me to wear a faux fur coat. We had fun sitting in automobiles we cannot afford (shout out to Klout for hooking us up) and pretending to car shop. In other news, I am 100% smitten with these jeans...not sure how but I think I'm a pants person now?

Alicia Fashionista.

I had the pleasure of styling Alicia Fashionista on a collaboration for Front & Company (my workplace), and I can't help but share some of the photos here. To say that Alicia is a joy to work with would be a grand understatement... It was an afternoon of giggles and good times, for sure. I don't know anyone who is able to pose at the drop of a hat quite like this lovely lady!

You can enter to win $100 for Front & Co by leaving a comment on our finished post (contest ends at midnight tonight, so hurry)!

All clothing from Front & Company, styled by me.

Put My Name In Bold.

Happy Summer Soltice! It's only shorter days from here on out (boo hiss), so I will be soaking up as much sun as possible!

Much to the chagrin of many, crop tops continue to be in full force for summer 2014, and I'm not mad.  I might shed a few tears when crop tops become passé
again. Until that day, I'll be rocking them whenever I can. A itty bitty slice of belly never hurt anyone, am I right?

Oh, I'd Rather Be By Your Side.

I almost got rid of most of my dresses this spring. My style has been shifting, and I was at my wits end. Thankfully, I cut my hair instead of torching my frocks. Now I'm growing a teeny weeny fro, and realizing that dresses are my saving grace come warm weather. No fuss and no worries.

Volta.

My silence(ish) of the past few months has not been without reason. Life, as it does, has created cause for interuption. A variety of things, but the most significant one being a period of self reflection. Exploring the ideas of who I am, who I desire to be, and what I desire from this space. Ideas that can't be solved with a simple yes or no. A side-effect of being in my mid-twenties, I suppose.

Not to say that my love of fashion is waning, but my relationship with fashion (and what it represnts) continues to shift as I change.

Volta is one of my favourite musical and literary terms, and it's the only way I can describe what's happening now. The external markers may be small, but sometimes change moves under the surface. The funny thing about change is its capability to sneak up on you and leave a mark so dense that nothing was the same. Kind of knocks you on your feet, you know?

In Bloom.

The cherry blossoms have come and gone in Vancouver. Every year when they appear, I find myself feeling a bit of surprise and wonder. You'd think I'd be used to them 4 springs in, but they signal a reminder of the beautiful weather we'll get in the warmer months. It almost makes up for 6 months of 12 degrees and raining, you know?
