It's A Scene You Set For New Lovers.

I am very much in love with these two images. This is what I want my spring to look/feel like.
Those orange wedges from UO will be mine! I diligently wait for them to go on sale.
Also, all I've been listening to nonstop this weekend is Lykke Li's new album. She can do no wrong in my books.

Hippity Hop.

That shadow in the first photo is my lovely friend from school, Marisa. She's every kind of talented (photographer, illustrator, being cool) and hopefully I'll be featuring her on here soon. She took the blue toned photos in the middle on her digital, and she is an excellent outfit document-er. I am so happy to have met her, she's down to earth and has sweet style, as well as being a sweetheart. I feel like there are many adventures in store for the two of us!

In other news: this is the first outfit post where I resized the photos first. Hopefully download speed is better, please let me know if you have any tips/concerns/thoughts! Also, this outfit is kind of an homage to NYC fashion week. I've had a lot of fun peeping all the pictures from this round, and hoping that I can go in September... *fingers crossed*

I was (unknowningly) featured on the Joe Fresh blog and tumblr! Thanks to origami for letting me know :)

Baby's Got New Clothes.

From Lula #9 (also known as the redhead issue), this editorial by Ellen Von Unwerth features one of my favourite models, Cintia Dicker. I had completely forgotten about it until Jenny posted it on her blog! I knew I had to post it! A gorgeous redhead in dreamy clothes, shot through one the dreamiest lens in fashion photography...

Crisp and Clean.

I am still trying to figure out what exactly I'm going to wear for Valentine's tomorrow. I'm one of those irritatingly "theme-y" people (I'm sure I will be the old lady with a sweater for every holiday!). Although I know the outfit will involve a D.I.Y. arrow headband, I'm not sure what else to wear! We're going out for dinner, so I want to look pretty, but still get my cutesy red-and-white on... Maybe I'll go for an all white look like Julia Frakes. I cannot get over every element of this outfit! I mean, the cat print shirt, the leggings, THE SHOES!!!
A ++++ from head to toe.

Oh, What A Russh.

In the vein of my new found love for designers down under, I've also discovered that I really like Aussie and NZ fashion magazines too! These lush pictures are from the shopping section of the website for Russh magazine, which you should check out if you haven't already. The styling is always on point, and the editorials make me think that perhaps heaven can be found on earth.

Soon We'll Be Found.

I haven't posted since last Friday! Eeep!An unintentional week hiatus... My first semester of fashion school is done! I had many projects/tests this past week, so I had to buckle down and sort of forget about the Internet for a little while. I'm back now! I've been doing lots of spring cleaning around here. A cleaner, simpler, more direct blog (hopefully). Someone mentioned that my blog took a while to load, and I think I fixed that (different header, less posts per page). Finally updated my links, these are the blogs I check on a regular basis, with more to come. Somehow I didn't have Calivintage on my list before, and I can safely say I check Erin's blog/tumblr almost religiously... Erin, I'm sorry!

For those of you wondering how to tie a scarf (my friends in real life seem to always be asking "How did you tie that?!?"), check out this very, very helpful tutorial from Modcloth! I usually do the "Tastemaker Wrap" or the "Bow Topper". Easy peasy, and I totally use them in efforts to cover up my lazy non-styling of the hair.

PS. Thank you Adam for taking these photos <3

A Peek Into Pretty.

There have been many lovely posts lately in the blogsphere, exploring the homes and spaces of the deliciously stylish. Ashley from Fancy Fine did a feature on her friend Lauren, and I honestly had to resist reposting the entire thing. This one is inspiration for days!

Come On, Get Happy!

Trying to get happy on a miserable day a few weeks ago.
If I could, I think I'd wear this romper everyday!

You can follow style is style on facebook.
My sidebar link was broken previously, I apologize to anyone who tried to get to the page to no avail!
