This week, ModCloth asked me to participate in their "Uniquely Yours" campaign on Polyvore. ModCloth recently launched two private labels, Myrtlewood and Bea & Dot. The lines are based on highly covetable vintage styles and available in sizes XS-4X (a size range which is awesome!).
It's been a joy to watch ModCloth grow over the years, and these private labels exemplify how they've created a commited community of customers. Even in 2013, it's difficult to find brands that carry items in a broad spectrum of sizes; typically brands are limited to solely straight sized or only carry plus sized items. I'm really excited to see that ModCloth has a commitment to being inclusive, instead of shying away from a plus sized customer base. The fact that the pieces are flippin' adorable doesn't hurt either.
The Sacramento Style skirt just begs for an outfit suitable for fun loving adventures with your best pals! I couldn't say no to that unicorn sweater...

Stripes On Stripes On Stripes.
I know it sounds like promotional BS, but I genuinely love this dress. It's so easy to wear, and I love pretending it's a skirt and layering tops over and under it. Lately I have been shamelessly pattern mixing, almost to the point of obnoxiousness. Who doesn't love 3x the stripes?

Still The One I Need.
I don't know why it hadn't crossed my mind to pair inverse stripes. For whatever reason this dress was hidden away in my closet. When the weather gets warmer, I find I fall back on simple pairings and silhouettes... This top was a super simple DIY. A long sleeved blouse which I cut the sleeves off of, now it's quite summer ready.

Safari Disco Club.
I had the privilege of catching Yelle's Vancouver show at the Commedore Ballroom in early summer. It ended up being quite the evening, with Adam and I out until the wee hours of the morning (although we didn't originally plan to do so)! The show was spot on, the band was so energetic and sweet. We managed to stand right in the front, and I couldn't help but get real sweaty! We danced our hearts out the entire time. This was the night that broke the soles of these wedges entirely in half... How sweet is Yelle's red cheetah catsuit? It is one of the coolest unitards I've ever seen!
PS. If you ever need a reason to dance, this song should get you in the mood. I can't techtonik like the dancers, but the song gets me going!

Summer Jumper.
Just a quick post today! This jumper is probably one of my most beloved thrifted finds. I love jumpers and rompers for the very reason that they layer very well, but are usually pretty outstanding as pieces themselves. Also, jumpers fool me into thinking I'm wearing a school uniform, and that makes getting dressed ten times easier. Love me some simple dressing! Back when Modcloth featured me on their blog, they sent a lovely package with my namesake dress and a couple of other things. I nearly cried with joy when I saw that the Cambridge Satchel was part of the care package. I've been stalking this beauty ever since I saw it on the web some 3 years ago, and finally I've got one of my own! I think she'll only get better with age.

Of The Moment!
I'm excited to annouce that I'm Modcloth's Blogger Of The Moment! Check out the interview on the ModBlog. It's one of the more in depth interviews I've done so far, and I'm stoked to share more about "me" with all of you! I'm super excited to style the "Style Is Style" dress once it gets here. I still can't believe that there is a dress named after this blog! So very cool. Thanks again, Modcloth, Style Is Style ♥'s U!!!

Une, Deux, Trois!
Hangzone times with Marissa and Kate. The sun has been poking out occasionally, I think warmer weather might actually be on it's way!
Thanks to Iris and Daniel for featuring me on their post about color blocking on Chictopia! These two are very stylish BFFs, and their editorial posts for EIU are always my favourite. If you haven't seen them, you can find them on here (chictopia) and here (blogger)!

We're All The Same, Just Stardust and Stuff.
A fun outing to Main Street for some window shopping with Kate. Didn't end up buying anything, but found a very cute porkpie hat that is on my spring wishlist. As you can see, we have a tendency to take a lot of photos. The last shot is a particular favourite, I call it my 'seducing a wall of leaves' pose.

I'll Follow You.
A little hop over to The Red Wagon was the perfect opportunity for me to wear my new shoes. Our breakfast was delicious, I'm so glad to have found a good breaky place near my house! As for the shoes, I'm in love, they are deliciously high and pretty comfortable for being that height as well. Thanks to Modcloth for sending me these!

Soon We'll Be Found.
I haven't posted since last Friday! Eeep!An unintentional week hiatus... My first semester of fashion school is done! I had many projects/tests this past week, so I had to buckle down and sort of forget about the Internet for a little while. I'm back now! I've been doing lots of spring cleaning around here. A cleaner, simpler, more direct blog (hopefully). Someone mentioned that my blog took a while to load, and I think I fixed that (different header, less posts per page). Finally updated my links, these are the blogs I check on a regular basis, with more to come. Somehow I didn't have Calivintage on my list before, and I can safely say I check Erin's blog/tumblr almost religiously... Erin, I'm sorry!
For those of you wondering how to tie a scarf (my friends in real life seem to always be asking "How did you tie that?!?"), check out this very, very helpful tutorial from Modcloth! I usually do the "Tastemaker Wrap" or the "Bow Topper". Easy peasy, and I totally use them in efforts to cover up my lazy non-styling of the hair.
PS. Thank you Adam for taking these photos <3

When It Rains, It Pours.
It feels like every day I am telling you guys about another feature...
I hope you're not sick of it yet, I know it's still exciting to me!
This time I'm on the ModCloth blog!
The sweetest part is I would most definitely wear all the items picked to "recreate" my look.
Especially that skirt!
Thanks again to ModCloth for contacting me :)

A Cool Sip.
Just hanging out with Kate and Adam at Starbucks.
These shoes were a gift from ModCloth. While we were in NYC, we were each given a voucher for a Chictopia dress, but unfortunately it didn't come in my size. The ladies at Modcloth were nice enough to allow me to get a pair of shoes instead, and these are the lovely heels I chose! The order came quickly, I would definitely recommend ModCloth if you are look for unique and quirky peices online.
