Monday night was quite the evening for Kate and I: after getting dolled up (it had been a while since I'd worn heels, no casualties!) we headed out to the David Jack show at Subeez.
I attempted to document my eye makeup, inspired by this genius D.I.Y. by Ivania. Hopefully next time I try it out I'll be able to get clearer photos, it was surprisingly easy to replicate. Trust me, I'm not makeup master, so I was quite pleased with the results.
I'll admit, I hadn't a clue what to expect during the show. After
sipping a glass of white wine and anxiously awaiting the show, the
lights dimmed and the models descended upon us. Crystalized visions, the
muses wore a palette of nearly celestial cremes and taupes, accented by
Swarovski crystals. The looks were elevated by phenomenal nail art,
makeup and spell binding tresses. I tried my best to get some shots of
the garments on the runway, but
unfortunately, I am complete rubbish at photography which
requires flash. Regardless, I included the "best" of my snaps.
A quick shout out to Little Fashionisto, who I finally met in person that night. We even shared a short stroll, complete with shared umbrellas. M'c Kenneth was warm and wonderful to be around, I hope to run into him again around the city. It's always nice to discover that stylish faces from the Internet are welcoming and friendly in real life. All in all, 'twas a solid evening, thanks again for the invite David Jack!

Tea and Catch-Up.
How cute is Marisa's cat scarf? This day involved school and a love chat afterwards with Emily. I've known Em since high school, and whenever our schedules co-ordinate, we get together, drink tea, eat copious amounts of food and play catch up about our lives and fashion. I look forward to our tea pow-wows every time!
I owned these shoes for precisely one wear before they literally disintegrated (outer and insole). I hope I can find another pair like them one day, the shape is pretty much my dream sandal...

One Fine Day.
This was a wonderful summer day, spent visiting the Waldorf Hotel, which is situated so perfectly in relevance to our house. There were several art exhibits/galleries and production companies set up in different rooms, and Kate and I had fun wandering through.
I wish the weather had been warmer this summer, I only got to wear this dress a couple of times! It's a real shame, since it's one of the first dresses I've had that has great back details. Funny story, I snagged this dress when it accidentally got priced at $20! I caught it (and know the protocol), and the sweet deal was mine.
I've got to admit, I was a little nervous to post a photo of my...erm...rear view. As a lady who is blessed (or cursed) in the area of booty, I am always unnerved by photos shot from behind. Generally shot front on, I figured that since we know each other fairly well, a little 360° perspective was due. Perhaps I'm being neurotic and self-conscious, but even bloggers have their days, no?
A big thanks to Nylon Magazine, for featuring my tumblr as their "Site of The Day" last weekend!!! I was very surprised when a friend told me about the post!

We're All The Same, Just Stardust and Stuff.
A fun outing to Main Street for some window shopping with Kate. Didn't end up buying anything, but found a very cute porkpie hat that is on my spring wishlist. As you can see, we have a tendency to take a lot of photos. The last shot is a particular favourite, I call it my 'seducing a wall of leaves' pose.

It's A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood.
This was a gorgeous day for a friend date!
Kate and I went to Granville Island, on one of the last really hot days of summer here in Vancouver.
I got my hair cut and flat ironed that day, isn't it crazy how different it looks?

Sadly, I don't have the patience or time to do it daily. I don't know how some girls do it!
