I'm sorry...

I got many positive comments on the last post, thanks everyone!
I love hearing opinions, and a recent anonymous comment got me thinking...

The reader was offended by me saying "I'd rather be drop dead gorgeous than on the verge of dropping dead". As a slender girl, she (i assume she) said "You dont think it hurts skinny people when you say things like that." The whole comment (it was about a paragraph) made me think she definitely had a point. I didn't mean to offend anyone who was skinny or who has been made fun of or bothered because of their naturally slender figure, but I can see how that might have been the case. I love all sizes, not just big girls, not just skinny girls or average girls. My friends are all different sizes, and all pretty flippin' gorgeous at that! At the risk of sounding preachy (sorry!), the most important things is to love yourself, and feel good in whatever you choose to wear. I hope that I haven't offended anyone else, and if I have, I'm sorry.

I don't see how you could have been "offensive" - your comments were perfectly valid in that the fashion world constantly hurls stick-thin models at us and makes us feel that we should be just like them. Whilst I understand that some people are naturally skinny and may have been slightly annoyed, it was clear that your views were anything but hurtful - in fact, they were refreshing.

I've noticed that the people who look most like models are the ones whose blogs seem to be the most popular. Sure, they've got style and write interesting posts, but there are many that are overlooked in their favour. I personally adore your blog - whenever I see a new post up, it never fails to make me smile.
