Wasted Effort, Part II.

Emily, Kate and I have had several lovely lady dates lately, and on this one we ventured down to Nouvelle Nouvelle to see the collection video for Wasted Effort. Who could argue with an evening filled with cheap drinks and familiar faces? Not to mention gorgeous images from the Wasted Effort lookbook, and being able to try on pieces (Lena necklace, I love you...). I am lusting after the whole Elytra collection!

Merrymaking.

We had our annual Friends + Family event at Front & Company a little while back, and it was lovely to get to dress up and see some familiar faces shopping (Adam, Emily) as well as my coworkers looking all snazzy. A very fun night indeed (the snap of lovelies in black are my pals Karen and Sonny).

Ora Bags + Nouvelle Nouvelle.

Ora Bags is a local company I hadn't heard of until a few days ago, but it's one that will stay in my mind. Randi Obenauer handcrafts simple leather bags in a minimal palette. I had to resist to urge to bring them home with me!

Emily and I headed to Nouvelle Nouvelle for an evening of delicious sips and equally delectable bags. The event was for the video launch of Ora Bags F/W collection, and it was a perfect way to spend a balmy Gastown evening. We even bumped into Little Fashionisto, the cherry on top of a dessert of an evening!

Tea and Catch-Up.

How cute is Marisa's cat scarf? This day involved school and a love chat afterwards with Emily. I've known Em since high school, and whenever our schedules co-ordinate, we get together, drink tea, eat copious amounts of food and play catch up about our lives and fashion. I look forward to our tea pow-wows every time! I owned these shoes for precisely one wear before they literally disintegrated (outer and insole). I hope I can find another pair like them one day, the shape is pretty much my dream sandal...

That's What Friends Are For.

Every time Emily and I hang out, I go home feeling blissfully happy.

Maybe it's because she always makes me delicious food (I owe you Em!)...

Time seems to just fly by as we chat away in her kitchen, and over tea and fresh baked scones.

Most of my visits include a stop at the Salvation Army a few blocks away from her house.

This particular morning we also had a mini photoshoot!

Oh the joys of being with other bloggers: a mutual understanding of the ever important "outfit photo".

PS. I am very, very happy to now have a legit turban!

I might just have to pretend to be Catherine Baba, every day.
