Le Sac, Deux.

I can't stop wearing this version!
I made it from a thrifted skirt that I always wished was a dress.

Cheapness....

I've been waiting for the right time to wear this amazing scarf which I got for only $5 at this Indian fabric store I recently discovered in my town.
It's a million times cheaper than Fabricland and has soooo much more selection.
I can't wait for all the sewing to begin!
Summer, please come quickly.

There is also a sneak peak at a skirt I am in the process of rebuttoning...

Copycat.

So I am basically waiting for the CEO of AA to write me a "Cease and Desist" email since I
keep ripping them off with stuff I sew at home.
I would have never in a MILLION years thought to even try on the knit pencil skirt whilst window-shopping at AA BUT I managed to use some of my recently acquired creme jersey and make one using a skirt I already own as the basis. It turned out far more flattering (and oddly likeable) than I expected! I will definitely be making this in darker colors, with a few updates (a little shorter? hemmed? better waist?)...it's very exciting! This outfit probably could have used some heels, but I was running around doing random errands on Thursday.

Thrifted boots, socks, cardigan. Handmade skirt. AE tights and tee.

P.S. I think I need more heels. And this outfit subliminally stole from this one...

P.P.S. Tiger says hi.

'Cause I'm a paper chaser....

Lately, I just crave going to thrift stores and making things.
Prime example: When I went to Joanne's in Bellingham, I felt so very overwhelmed/inspired.
It's this massive fabric store (at least compared to anything in Canada, that I've been to).
To see all the different fabrics, and all the possiblities, I felt like a painter who has just discovered color. Corny, yes, but still true.

Today will be spent sewing up a storm.
I have a couple dresses/skirts that need to be hemmed or fixed and I'm also
going to start making some things for the shop today!
Don't worry, there will be previews a plenty....
I'm super EXCITED!
