A Hop, Skip and a Jump.

Two of my favorite thrifted finds: the collar on the blouse is perfection, and the color of the hat is my favorite shade in the world. I was ecstatic when I found both of them! As usual, I'm a ham in this series. It's really difficult for me to make serious faces for the camera, I always feel silly doing so!

Psychedelic Grandma.

I've got an insane backlog of outfit posts from the summertime... which means lots of outfit posts coming your way! This blouse has got to be one of my favourite thrift store finds. The print is delightfully psychedelic! Just the right amount of obnoxious for me. As for the skirt, I scored it for $3 in a Salvation Army in Bellingham, WA. I considered shortening it when I originally bought it, which was actually about 2 years ago. After seeing many midi chiffon pleated skirts pop up all over the internet (and magazines), I realized that the original length was perfect as is!

Another bonus shot of Marisa's wonderful style. This was before the blue tips (clearly), but I love the lace shirt layered with all black.

I Wish I Could Believe What They Tell Me.

Current Loves
  • Thrifted Peter Pan Blouse: It was like the pot of gold I never thought I would find!
  • Pumpkin Blazer: Another thrifted gem. Only $6! We have a new fave thrift store here in Vancouver, I don't want anyone to find it. Old Italian ladies donate all of their treasures there.
  • Flowers in my Hair: I need to make more floral hair things. It makes any day better.
    • American Apparel Nail Polish: I feel all fancy with my nails did.
  • Oatmeal: probably one of my favorite breakfasts, delicious and nutritious (har, har).

Sunny Side Up.

It was unseasonably warm early October...
Soo much so that I ventured out wearing a sundress and bare legged!
Too bad it's getting cold now.
Ah well, enjoy one of my last summery sunny photos!

Two things to note: I rarely shoot photos from behind. I usually dislike them (at least of me), but I had to show off the great back on this dress! How cute are the criss cross straps?
Also, everything here is thrifted. YAY thrift!

Dimestore Diamond.

Everything in the outfit was a steal...
The top, jacket and skirt were $4 each (first two in thrift stores, the last from Joe Fresh).
The little hat is meant for dolls, I got it at the thrift store for 50 cents!
The tights, $5, the shoes were only $13, and the sunnies were $3!
It always surprises me when someone notices a piece that I've purchased on the cheap
(or even for dirt cheap).
It confirms my belief that style isn't limited to the rich & beautiful.

There's a Drumming Noise Inside My Head That Starts When You're Around.

I thrifted an epic cape a couple of weeks ago ($7+$16 alter=very happy camper).
So, in honor of this find, my lovely sister Grace and I took a "magic hour" stroll down to a nearby park and staged a woodland fairy tale...of sorts.

*Note I am attempting my serious, brooding faces here. These are my acting chops in use.

They Couldn't Wash The Echos Out.

Just practicing my "T-Rex" pose with my little sister (intrepid photographer) in a new green leather jacket that I got for only $3.50 at the Value Village 50% off sale! One of my best thrifted finds ever, without a doubt. I'm also the proud owner of not one but two pairs of vintage white leather oxfords! Yay for flats that go with everything.

Dotty.

I found this dress a couple of weeks ago thrifting with Emily, who I'm pretty sure brings me magical thrifting luck. We always find the best stuff together, she got these sweet leather lace up booties that fold over! They are amazing, and I'm jealous.
Luckily, the cute polka dots on the perfect dress are consoling me.
(It's not cold enough for tights anymore, but it was when I wore this)

MAGIC.

I broke my shopping ban. BUT it was for a very cute pair of (cheap) H&M earrings (which you will see) AND $5 THRIFTED PAIR OF JEFFREY CAMPBELL SHOES. Seriously, what are the odds?!?!? And in Vancouver nonetheless! I thought that either someone would have snapped them up or that they would be way too expensive but neither proved true. I'm going to try my best to keep the shopping ban going for the rest of the month but it is hard! I have too many clothes though. Like this t-shirt, which I've had since I was 15 or 16. I love Kerropi and Hello Kitty! The last photo is a glimpse of my little sister (and sometimes photographer) Grace :D

P.S. I'm sorry for my absence, I've been in and out of the blogging world so much lately! I will try my best to not disappear for too long...

Thrifted shoes, tee. Yard sale H&M snakeskin tights.
Gap cardigan. Old Navy skirt.
