Tell Me Life Is Beautiful.

Karla Spetic's collections are a doozy since every season she seems to outdo herself. I nearly cried when I saw the collaboration between Karla and Caitlin Shearer for AW 2010...

AW2012/13 is dreamy in every sense of the word: sorbet toned and ditzy, Liberty-esque florals abound. Paired with mismatched lapels and creamy sheers, I can't resist this collection! Count me in (even if only in my dreams...)

Oak + Fort.

I hadn't heard of Oak + Fort before being invited to their spring presentation, but they will definitely be one of my permanent stops whenever I am in Gastown. With creamy pastels, peter pan collars a plenty and one of the most interesting (and inexpensive) jewelry selections I've seen in the this city, I have a new favorite haunt. M'c kenneth invited me, and the evening was nothing short of lovely. Cupcakes and free wine would have been enough to woo me, but the gorgeous live harp music throughout did me in! I left with a smile on my face and a ring worthy of Fangtasia.

A Fanciful Feast.

Carven kills me every season. I think Guillaume Henry is partially to blame for my permenant addiction to collars and feminine frocks. Somehow, each collection has an element of vintage flair to it, but never strays into stale, stagnant or dated. It's always lovely to see beautiful garments close up. I think this palette will be haunting my sartorial state of mind going into spring/summer. Fresh and unique, just how I like it.
