Fantasies.

TopShop crash landed in Vancouver last week, opening their largest international location in the heart of downtown. Needless to say, the store itself is immaculate, and a tad bit overwhelming. So. Many. Shoes. So. Many. Frilly. Socks.

Lucky for me, the store opening meant a super sweet party at 560. I headed downtown last Wednesday night with the wonderful Michelle and my pal Karen (of Broken Promises) after a pre-party stop at The Whip. I'm not sure I've ever had so much fun at a fashion event; we giggled and danced the night away. My girl Kasha was spinning the most irresistible of tunes, so it was inevitable that we would end up on the dancefloor. Oh, and Metric played the party. Not shabby for a Wednesday night...

Broken Promises.

Karen La is a Vancouver jewelery designer whose creative vision is very much an extension of herself. With an almost indescribable eclecticism, the straight forward nature of her designs channels her varied points of influence into a precise beauty. Karen handcrafts each piece out of silver and brass, making each one an heirloom of it's own. I, for one, am quite smitten with her Broken Promises Fall/Winter 2012 collection, and the visually staggering collection video.
