Get A Chance To Take A Break.

It's been a very busy summer; life in general seems to be trying to pull me in equally compelling directions. I've never been a master of balance, but I've find I'm getting a little better at figure out when to check out, even if it's just for a few hours. I hung out with Emily R. on a lazy evening after work, and it was lovely just to chill out and eat some delicious food at The Whip on Main. A tasty meal with a pal was precisely was I needed!
Speaking of needs, I typically don't feel the need to wear jewellery. I'm always intimidated by how much or how little to wear at once. But given the challenge of styling this Kensie necklace, I must say some of my apprehensions have subsided. Bright, bold and vintage leaning in it's Art Deco motif, I have been topping many a dress and blouse with this piece.
You can enter to win an item from Kensie as well. All you have to do is follow Kensie on twitter, like their Facebook page and leave a comment with your name and email on this post. The contest will run until Saturday, August 17th. Good Luck!

PARTY TIME.

Happy Monday morning to you. I must say, I actually haven't minded Mondays in recent weeks...since finishing classes Tues/Wed is generally my "weekend", as they are my days off from my day job. So that makes today Friday, right?

I am very excited to announce another giveaway! Zeleb UK  specializes in gorgeous gowns and frocks which would be perfect for any special party you have planned over this holiday season.

The "Ruched Silk Party Dress" could be yours... I fell instantly for its lovely color, and the fact that it looks like a Lanvin doesn't hurt either!

In order to enter, all you have to do is follow @Zelub_UK on Twitter, and tweet about your entry. All you need is a mention of the contest, or even where you plan to wear the dress! After doing so, leave a comment on this post with your email so that I can contact you. This contest will wrap up Friday, December 16th, so get tweeting!

This contest is open to International Readers.

Back On Track.

I am just getting used to not having to go to school or do schoolwork. It means so much free time! I have neglected a lot of hobbies this past year, and I am very happy to be able to read, draw and write again. I've got to keep busy, or else I go a little insane.

As you can see, this fur collar/jacket combo is one of my favorites (I even wore it in my last post). The best part of this pairing is that it was less than $5! The jacket was a dollar (yes I know, A DOLLAR) and the collar was 3 bucks. Snooty badass awesomeness for under five dollars? Yes please!

In other news: Miranda is the winner of the Shabby Apple giveaway! Congratulations, I'll be emailing you today for the details!

Hello, It's Me Again.

Yes, I know, I'm like a ghost blogger these days, I yet again apologize profusely.
I hope that everyone's holidays were/are splendid,
mine have been excellent, very busy and are still going...
I will be back in full force in the New Year, I promise. Please bear with me until then.
I'm planning a giveaway, a big shop update, lots and lots of pictures and an exciting review of Shoes Got Sole, which carries a myriad of shoes and boots, including Dingo and Aerosoles.
In short, I'm very excited for everything coming up soon!
Thanks again for checking out this blog, even though posting has been rather sketchy lately.

Happy New Year! See you in 2010 :)

And Now, For Something Completely Different!

I'm sorry to have disappeared into my own world again, but as usual I've been attempting to at least take outfit photos which inevitably will be on this blog, sometime soon-ish.
I'm also (FINALLY) doing a giveaway come the new year as a thank you to my 100+ followers!
So don't fret, I'll be back soon with bigger and better things...

Every year, two of my best friends and I put on our Christmas Sweaters (which we decorated ourselves) and head to the mall to take a picture with Santa. The first year, we smiled normally and the second, we made over eager, toothy smiles. This year...we did a look called "bright eyes".
Enjoy!

The Aforementioned...

As I mentioned before, I won LNA leggings from Chickdowntown via Kennedy's lovely blog
(thank you yet again, Kennedy and Chickdowntown!) Their first outing was about 3 weeks ago to watch Where The Wild Things Are (which may very well be the perfect movie). The best part of the leggings has to be the zipper detail. It's an impeccable touch, making them far more interesting than run-of-the-mill ubiquitous legwear. This dress was from a garage sale, at which I got it with two skirts for $5, and which I altered. It used to be a longer waisted, 80's style wrap dress, now it's a one shouldered wonder. I do love my D.I.Y.'s!

No Big Deal.

I won LNA leggings from Chickdowntown via Kennedy's lovely blog
(thank you, Kennedy and Chickdowntown!)
Imagine my surprise when the day before they arrived,
I saw a feature on style.com with my very leggings in red!
They might be the single most expensive article I own, expect pictures soon!
