I Don't Feel Any Different.

I ended up wearing a negative (as in negative from a roll of film) version of the 1940s NYE outfit I posted. Subliminally inspired of course, until I looked at the photo again when I was dressed and realized what I'd done.Ha, that happens to me more often than you'd think. Also, I feel like may have been subliminally channeling a 1970's disco ball. Mmm glitter!

We went to the Biltmore Cabaret for New Year's. It wasn't the best NYE I've had, but I brought in 2011 with some of my favorite people, which was lovely. We drank free champagne and left the venue shortly after midnight. Funny story about my shirt...another girl that night had the same one on! I don't think I've had that happen to me (at least not in recent memory) so I had to laugh and take a picture!

If you are interested, Kate and I did a cover of First Aid Kit's "Heavy Storm".
The track is up on YouTube here!

Thrifted sequin blouse, belt, skirt. Gift From Kate F21 headband.
Drugstore Glittery tights. Old Navy shoes.

looks like a great (and seriously sparkly) NYE! i love that you ended up mirroring your original vintage inspiration subconsciously, i feel like that happens to me all the time.

(and i really wish i had half as many sequins in my wardrobe as you do in this outfit - shine on!)
