Gerl Power.

Admittedly, I hadn't heard of Gerlan Jeans New York until I stumbled upon their Spring/Summer 2013 collection in recent Fashion Week coverage. Although the latter parts of the show were a touch too early 2000s for me (visible thongs, pink camo, no pants) the first quarter of the show was delectable sugary sweetness. With a heavy influence from Minnie Mouse (werking those ear buns a la Luella, RIP) it was bright, graphic and over the top. Scallops and polka dots always pull at my heart strings, and a well placed bow seals the deal for me. Minnie Mouse is always a great reference point in my (cartoony) books.
