My So-Called Life.

More of the NYC trip! I apologize that it's been such a drawn out affair, but with 450 pics, editing takes a while...

Out to dinner at 41 Greenwich.
So many lovely bloggers present, I really wish I had had the guts to chat some of them up!

The Chictopia 10 After Party at Tribeca Grand!
It was super fun to let down our hair and let loose that night.
There were so many cool people at the party, it was all very overwhelming.
I managed to talk to Alexandra Grecco (who makes some of the cutest, dreamest clothes around, check out her etsy!) and Hannah of Hannah and Landon. The latter was essentially a dream come true, she's just as beautiful in real life, and super nice too! She went to the school I want to attend in November, so it was nice to talk to someone who's been at the same place I'm at right now. She was the sweetest thing, gorgeous and lovely! The party was so fun, I wish every Saturday night was one out on the town in NYC!

Conference, Part 1.

The first part of Chictopia 10 was interviews, moderated and allowing for a question period at the end of session. It was really interesting to hear from successful bloggers, and learn about their experiences and knowledge of a form of communication which is essentially still very new to the rest of the world.
Taghrid and Liz looked amazing, and Danny Roberts from Igor and Andre (who designed the tote that all attendees recieved) was the cutest thing! I was suprised he was so adorably preppy, I was most definitely expecting a more bohemian type. His drawings are amazing, so it's a bonus that he's cute too :) Rebecca and Judy talked about advertising and the balance between having sponsers and keeping true to your vision/keeping your readership. I found it all very informative. There are many things that I haven't experienced/am just beginning to experience as a blogger, and I feel more prepared if they do happen.
Pauline was someone I hadn't run into really on Chictopia before this trip. We got along really really well, it was so nice to "click" so instantaneously with someone. She is definitely one of my new favourites, I wish she didn't live all the way in Conneticut!

A note: Yes, bloggers look this amazing in real life. It was slightly disheartening to be surrounded by so many stylish and beautiful people!

NYC: The Chictopia 10 Outfit Post.

I'm not going to lie...This is probably one of my favourite outfits, ever.
I'm pretty darn proud, and happy that lots of people in NYC liked it too.
Might I be so bold as to say that in this WWD article on bloggers, fashion week and getting into the shows, the "young women in little hats and white gloves, most of them between the ages of 14 to 25." could very well be a shout out to ME! I mean, I probably wasn't the only one who was wearing gloves and a hat...but I was most definitely one of them!

I have so many photos from this weekend, get ready for a barrage of photo posts.
Thanks to whomever took these outfit photos...I think it was Annie....
In the last picture are Brittany, Pauline and Catherine, three of the amazing winners in the Chictopia 10.
All of the winners were super sweet, it was great to meet them all!
I'm still kind of overwhelmed thinking about all the wonderful people who flitted into
my little bubble that weekend, it was nuts for sure.
Thank You x10000000, Chictopia!

P.S. In case you are wondering, this outfit post is from Saturday, the day of the Chictopia 10 conference.
Thrifted dress. Deena & Ozzy hat. Ardene's black tights.
Joe Fresh red tights. Fioni lace up booties.

Up In The Air.

The first day of my whirlwind trip to NYC, in pictures.

Highlights of the day:
Meeting bloggers, seeing Times Square,
the tents at Bryant Park, shopping at H&M,
meeting my roomie, Mitzi Cocoa (who is quickly becoming one of my favourite people!)
and Grand Central Station.

Bryant Park: NYFW.

These are the end result of our photoshoot in Bryant freakin' Park on the Sunday of our trip!!!
I still can't believe I got the opportunity to go to New York City, it feels like it was dream!

It was really cool to hold a photoshoot there, but I felt super awkward posing for someone other than my tripod or sister. Hopefully the pictures don't look too awkward to you guys.
I am terrible at posing for outfit photos (I pretty much have one stock pose)...
As well, I felt so out of place and under dressed that day.
Everyone else was dressed up (heels and such)
and I was dressed in a more "chill" outfit, mostly due to the fact we'd be walking around all day.
I like the outfit, but I kind of wish I had chosen something different.
I guess that's what happens when you have to pack in a hurry?

Thrifted dress jumper thingy, sweater, tee, boots. David King bag.
Urban Renewal jacket. H&M necklace.
AA Rummage Sale neon leggings. Buffalo Exchange ripped tights.

A Tease.

Soooo many NYC pictures to post, it's probably going to be a three-parter,
perhaps one for each day?
I'll leave you with a peek at what's to come...
Who wouldn't love to spend a Saturday in New York with
incredibly stylish people and male models?!?
