Long Time No See.

Just a short update this morning...

My recent web silence is due to many real life factors. I was recently hired in a full time position, which has provided some long awaited normalcy to my day to day life. Unfortunately, that paired with prepping to for our move (tomorrow) and also a getting ready for a trip to Norway has eaten up a LOT of my time.

I have, however, been talking many outfit photos all summer long. I suppose that means that I will just extend summer a little longer as I get through the archives of photos... I am still constantly updating both my Tumblr and Instagram. You can stop by to get a little taste of Style is Style until the dust settles mid-September when I return.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful summer (northern hemisphere) and winter (southern hemisphere). See you very soon...if I decide to come back from Norway.

PS. My Norway trip is going to be my first time back since I was 2.5 (I was born there). I cannot wait for fjords and beautiful Scandinavian folk. I leave Tuesday!

Ora Bags + Nouvelle Nouvelle.

Ora Bags is a local company I hadn't heard of until a few days ago, but it's one that will stay in my mind. Randi Obenauer handcrafts simple leather bags in a minimal palette. I had to resist to urge to bring them home with me!

Emily and I headed to Nouvelle Nouvelle for an evening of delicious sips and equally delectable bags. The event was for the video launch of Ora Bags F/W collection, and it was a perfect way to spend a balmy Gastown evening. We even bumped into Little Fashionisto, the cherry on top of a dessert of an evening!

Summer In The City.

One of the privileges of living in a city like Vancouver is that gorgeous scenery is essentially endless, especially when the weather is good. I'm making an effort to go to parks and the beach this summer, since it's the first summer I've had here where I have actual leisure time.

Zo Spending time with like minded ladies makes me feel more at ease about not knowing everything...

If you'd like to see more from this day, check out Zo post here! (the first two photos in this post are from her).

Pride!

Dorky confession: I really, really love a themed outfit. Is there a theme better than rainbow theme?

I only ended up attending one Pride event this year since I was working all weekend. Instead, I decided to wear a themed outfit to work on Sunday in the spirit of festivities which I was not attending.
