Apparitions and Phantoms.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I'm going to be a toy box doll...
I'll be sure to take photos!
My autumn inspiration folder proved to be fruitful in the slightly macabre and dramatic; I especially love the neon wig and black tears.
Sooooo good.

What are you going as this Halloween?

A Vacation Is All We Need.

I know I keep posting collections, but I have been finding so many amazing ones lately!
Lauren Moffatt's Spring 2011 line is so so so good.
I don't have words. The colors, the patterns, the silhouettes!
I want everything!
Especially that boater!

Sunny Side Up.

It was unseasonably warm early October...
Soo much so that I ventured out wearing a sundress and bare legged!
Too bad it's getting cold now.
Ah well, enjoy one of my last summery sunny photos!

Two things to note: I rarely shoot photos from behind. I usually dislike them (at least of me), but I had to show off the great back on this dress! How cute are the criss cross straps?
Also, everything here is thrifted. YAY thrift!

Thrifted dress, sunnies, hat, shoes, belt.

Style is Style & The Clotheshorse!

The amazingly chic (and incredibly nice) Clothes Horse asked me about my ultimate party...
You can check out my answers here.

When we met in NYC, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that she was just as sweet as one would gather from reading her blog!
I hope to keep in touch with this lovely lady.
Thanks again for the lovely feature, Rebecca!

We Run This Town.

This lace tee has been a staple in my wardrobe, ever since I snapped it up at Value Village.
The color, the fit, the fact that it feels like a tee shirt but dresses up anything...
Perfection, I tell ya.
Yes, I am wearing lace bunny ears. I'm aware that I am "late" on this trend train...
Seeing as I'm usually late on the trend train, it's sort of unsurprising.
Kate and I were supposed to be going to a house party, but when we got there, they had switched locations! We decided to hit the club to dance the night away instead.
Her adorable purple dress and my ears got us in for free :)
I think these might be lucky!

Thrifted lace tee, jacket.
Nenee skirt (really one of my favourites, ever!)
Hot Topic lace tights. H&M lace ears, heels.

The House of Harlow.

Dinner at an Indian restaurant for my friend's birthday.
The food was so very delicious, I wish I could eat it every day!
This ring was a lovely ChicReward that I stalked on Chictopia until it was redeemable.
I'm not sure if it's too large for...life.
It covers a good portion of my fingers, but it's so ridiculous that I kind of love it.
I think life sometimes need a good dose of crazy, right?

D.I.Y. leopard turban. Thrifted jacket, lace top, skirt.
Joe Fresh leather double belt. Dollar Store sheer tights.
Bamboo ankle booties. House of Harlow ring (from ChicRewards).

With Every Heartbeat.

I am constantly looking for fresh ways to wear my foundation pieces, and Samantha Pleet always has a way of making everything seem new.
Her Spring/Summer 2011 collection is styled with a laid back, downtown feel,
bringing her typically girly pieces a new sense of cool.
So very drool worthy.

42nd Street.

This outfit was legitimately inspired by these two posts (one, two) by A Thought Is A Blossom. 42nd Street is an AMAZING musical...gah. I could watch it over and over. Especially the practice scenes. The short sets and rompers kill me. Can I wear this every day please?
I don't know about you guys, but I literally feel like dancing every time I wear a romper!

Thrifted romper and sunglasses. Gifted blouse. Dressew hat.
BDG oxfords. Dollar Store tights.

To Keep Me Warm.

The switch has been flipped.
All I can think about right now are cozy winter layers, and thick, chunky knits!
I am excited to hide in warmth. Capes, coats and lots of sweaters!
So how fitting would it be that I happened upon All For Everyone...
I am enamoured with this line, her stuff is so very whimsical. And happy. Two good things!
Takes me back to my childhood and random lovely knit winter wear.

Someone Like You.

Exploring Granville Island and downtown with Tim Tam.
I didn't realize I had worn this top with this skirt until I flipped through my archives, ha ha!
I guess they were made for each other.

Thrifted Liberty skirt, blouse. Fletcher by Lyell jacket.
Joe tights. Old Navy wedges.

They Said Her Innocence Would Never Last.

I've got a knack for sweetness, and the Nadinoo AW2010 collection is oh so satisfying.
Part mod, part Lolita, they had me at that amazing cape!
Oh how I love a good cape...
